"Marketing in Emerging Markets: How to Win in Rural Areas"

Emerging markets, a label which is by now too limited to describe areas such as China, India, Africa and Eastern Europe, have become the new leading players on the global scene with growth much higher than that of Western economies. Rural areas within these markets and the ability to conquer these territories are assuming critical importance for businesses seeking new sources of double digit growth.

It therefore comes naturally to ask several questions: How can competitive battles in rural areas be won? What are the best marketing strategies to adopt in these areas? How can value be derived from these strategies? What are key course subjects for executive management?

The event aims to set the foundation for a debate on the topic by presenting results from the study completed by the SDA Bocconi School of Management Marketing Department with General Electric.
Leading speakers will participate in the event, creating a round table to discuss the research results.
